ARTIST
INTERVIEWS: Angelica, you began to act "Days of Our Lives"
andhave worked on television programs such as "NYPD Blue",
"Conan", "Baywatch", "Suddenly Susan",
and "That '70's Show", "Metropolitan Hospital".
Which programs have you enjoyed working with?
Angelica Bridges: I really enjoyed the “Mortal Kombat” television
series. My character “Omegis” was recurring on the show.
She had about 5 different personalities! As an actress this kind of
role is a blast! One minute, you are an evil sorceress, the next minute
you are a vixen, a comedian, and so forth. This was a great role and
I enjoyed traveling to Orlando, Florida to shoot it.
“That 70's Show” was fun too. Getting to be in a comedic
scene with Topher Grace was amazing – and all of the characters
on that show are hilarious.
A.I.:
How do you become a different person for the many characters that you
have portrayed in television and movies?
A.B.: I think as soon as you get a script in your hand and start reading
your character's dialogue you began to place yourself in the character's
shoes. I imagine myself as that character, then I begin to think like
them, dress like them, and behave as this character would. The fun part
is being able to become another person within your work when I am rehearsing.
It is so much fun to experiment and give your character a lot of layers
and many colors!
A.I.: How did the 'Baywatch' reunion movie came to be and what
can you tell us
about it?
A.B.: The reunion movie was a project that the producers have been planning
for a while. Unfortunately, after September 11th, the project was put
on hold, but finally came to fruition this summer. The show is so popular
all over the world (it's seen in 142 countries) and went strong for
11 years – a reunion movie was inevitable.
The audience will get to see a lot (14 original) cast members return
with a backdrop of Hawaii, love and adventure all rolled into the hours.
What more could you ask for?
A.I.: You began modeling when you were fourteen and have been
on the covers of
endless magazines. How do you feel with the success you have had as
a model and actress?
A.B.: My time modeling was exceptional. I really enjoyed traveling to
exotic places and meeting all of the people I met, through my travel
and bookings. But, I would definitely have to say “acting”
is much more challenging. And, I need constant stimulation in my life,
so acting hands down is my favorite (singing too).

A.I.:
Angelica, having modeled for so long, what's an unusual thing that has
happened to you in your modeling and acting career?
A.B.: Probably the most unusual things that happened to me was when
I worked on “Baywatch” or any shows around water. On “Baywatch”
there were about 40 sand sharks hanging around our location in Marina,
Del Rey. Not very comforting when you've treading the water for a half
an hour, 50 feet away. One time, on “Son of the Beach”,
I was all perched on a rock as a mermaid, getting ready to deliver my
first line when a huge wave came and just blasted me to kingdom come.
A.I.: You have also hosted several television shows, such as
"Spice", "Top Secret Beaches"', "Miss Fitness
USA" and "E's Talk Soup". What has been your experience
in hosting?
A.B.: I love hosting! Getting to host “E's Talk Soup” was
a dream come true. Especially, since I love the “comedic”
side of things so much. Hosting “Spice” a weekly show on
VH1 – Europe was amazing, because I had to fly to London to shoot
10 episodes at a time. I really enjoy hosting – I could do it
everyday.
A.I.: Being an actress, which movies have you enjoyed watching
in 2002?
A.B.:
I enjoy a lot of comedic movies. Anything with Adam Sandler is always
good. I also liked “The Red Dragon” with Anthony Hopkins.
I have always enjoyed Michael Douglas and especially Nicole Kidman.
She was a delight in “Molin Rouge” and “The Others”!
I like the Harry Potter movies and all of the Star Wars films. I hate
to admit it, but I enjoyed watching “Jackass the Movie”.
A.I.: What's a day in the life of Angelica Bridges?
A.B.: An average day when I'm not working would be going to the gym,
first thing in the morning – walking my pup “Delilah”
- cooking 1 to 2 meals a day. I love to cook. It is my favorite thing!
Also, working on the computer (yes I am computer geek) or meditating
sometime during the day. I also enjoy reading a nice book and taking
a long bubble bath. That's a great day off!
